A friend of friend called me and has a 03 and said it won't build more than 8psi boost unless he sets the cruize control ? ( Basically won't fuel ) I normally don't mess with common rail stuff or post in 3rd gen. section, but what the hay. Help me steer him in the right direction.

Its an 03, start checking grounds, battery cables, and the ECU connectors for corrosion and contact. Check batteries for holding charge and load. One bad battery will mimic sypmtoms of fuel loss.
