Sorry guys, this is all new to me. I have had a number of gas trucks in the past but this is my first diesel. 05 Quad 2500 4x4 59 k on the miles , auto trans. please help me with the basics, like best oil, air filter, draining fuel filter and such. Thanks! Jimbo

For oil, pick the one that best meets your particular use, and change it accordingly.

A lot of people get hung up on agonizing over the best whatever. Pick one of the top 3-4 brands, and you'll do fine. Unless you're racing or pulling - really running it to the ragged edge - just follow the factory service recommendations and enjoy the ride.
