03 Starving for Fuel

when I am on the throttle and my turbo gets to about 20psi my rpms start waving and the truck acts like its starving for fuel. Truck is fine at cruising speed and Idle only when under acceleration/working like a large up hill. I got a stock air intake, and had to replace my fuel pump with FASS DDRP. The truck did sit for a lil while due to another issue that has since been solved, and I have recently taken out the turbo silencer so I am hitting higher psi faster. I wonder if possibly from sitting the and less likely the cold weather we have had here the fuel filter is gunked up or if maybe my fuel pump only being 40gph isnt enough. not thinking injectors cause its fine at idle and all other times but i do not know much about cp3 pumps to know how that would act. I have had a code for the crankshaft position sensor but that went off before i fixed the previous problem and never threw it again. previous problem was my overdrive broke and i cracked the housing.

Pickup screen in tank plugged or PLV leaking. Monitor fuel pressure under full load see if it drops and if actual fuel pressure in the rail is equal to set point pressure. If PLV leaks will not hit max fuel pressure in rail but otherwise will run ok when not under full load.

I think he means PRV, pressure relief valve. It's mounted on the rail.
Have to monitor the fuel pressure before CP3 and the rail pressure to tell the story.

I call it PLV (Pressure Limiting Valve) some call it PRV pressure relief valve.

I would get those checks done asap because if you are starving your injector pressure pump then think replacement which equals mega $$$
