I really do not see much change. If you drive the same way every tank you might see some change. My driving varies way too much to be a very good barometer. Between city driving, Chicago, Dubuque, Milwaukee, ect and boat towing in the summer every tank is driven different. But mileage this year is from 18.14 to 12.5 ( average 15.58) FYI.

I can definitely notice it here. I see about a 10% difference with the diesel maybe a bit more (summer 19-20mpg winter 17-18). Not sure about the rest of the country but here in the late fall they switch the gasoline over to a winter blend as well (add more methanol to combat the brown cloud) and in my little Honda Fit I notice about 15% difference (summer 38-40 winter 32-34). However my wifes Toyota Four runner I barely notice the winter gasoline difference maybe 5% (summer 18-20 winter 17-19).

#1 diesel has less BTU'S then #2 diesel so any time you add #1 in any blend it will lower you mpg.
If you ever ran a tank of straight #1 you will notice atlest a 10% difference.

I think they must have just changed over here in southern WI. Last three fill-ups averaged right around 18.5 for daily drive too and from work, where I normally get 19.5-2o during the summer. FWIW

When's winter fuel start coming out?

I'd forgotten about the lower mileage.

On top of $3.60 a gallon that's a killer.

My mileage just went up 7/10ths of a gallon, but I added 5psi to my tires.

17.2 from 16.5 city

Every bit counts.
