Why not throw a South Bend in it and not worry?

If you have to buy a flywheel anyway, migth as well get a clutch that can take abuse.

because of the way they mount the flywheel to a flex plate makes it need something like a spacer thats casted in the new flywheel to get the proper clearance. just went thru the ordeal of changing mine out about 3 weeks ago

i'm not sure what your talking about. i run gauges but i also run about 60 to 120k a year and about 80% of that is hauling around 23k. i dont buy a truck to drive around in i get em to make money by working. Almost all of those trucks the truck gave out before the motor. went thru 7 nv4500 on the one 98.5 and 4 clutches.

South Bend makes a conversion kit that changes from the stupid DM flywheel to a single mass and bolts right in with no adapters. It's been in my truck for around 10k now with no issues. A little more noise (which is normal I'm told) but the vibration of the grenaded DM is gone.
