What Year Is My Truck
Check your VIN# count from the last diget back to the eight digit. That will be your year model. (Prior to the 2001 year model they used letters so you have know which letter matches which year)
I believe 2001 model year trucks actually started being built in January 2000. Then sometime around august 2000 dodge changed over to rear discs. At that time everyone started calling them 2001.5s.
My '01 was built January 21, 2000 and upt in service May 11, 2000. Drum brakes.
But on the VIP summary report, it states I have option XCD ( Cummins 600 Turbo Diesel). What gives? I have the automatic trans. I thought only the man trans got that.
I also have front springs ZJGP left front, and ZXFP right front. Can anyone tell me if these are 46's or 47's or what ? I hope they are the plow prep package type as my truck doesn't have the package.
