Does anyone know the weight of a 2001 Alloy Wheel from a Dodge? I want to get a price on shipping them. Thanks Pete

rough guess 30 or 40 pounds but it would all depend on how the pattern is and how much metal vs open area

Thanks, I hear the steel wheel is 40lbs. I figured the alloy would be a little less. Thanks Pete

Thanks. Do you think they are worth changing to. I have a brand new set of 285's in the garage waiting to be put on. I can get a set of 2001 Alloys for $200. Should I go with them or stick with the chrome ones I have now? Pete

Your steel wheels should be 16x6.5 so if you want to run the 285's you're going to need a wider wheel anyway. I really like the way they look, I'd say go for it. I just shipped my 16x10 Eagle wheels to New York for $101 from Minnesota. 16x8's should be a bit cheaper. Mine were 28 lbs each.

Crimedog do you thing the Alloy wheels are about the same weight or lighter? Did you use UPS? How did you box them up? Thanks Pete
