Tranny Pan Drain

I realize I am probably over thinking this but I just wanted to run this by you guys and see what you all think. I want to put a drain in my tranny pan and I was just going to get a boss from work and weld it into the pan and find a bolt that fits. Any thoughts? Seems like a no brainer to me?

that will be fine, i normally just use a regular nut welded to the pan, and a copper washer on a bolt for the plug...
