tow capacity

I'm having a devil of time finding the tow ratings for these trucks.

Does anyone know what trailer weight I can pull with a 2001.5 Cummins, Quab Cab, 2WD, Auto?

thanks

Where are you coming up with that number?

On the website linked to above, for a 2001 Ram 2500 4x2 QC CTD I am seeing a maximum trailer weight rating of 13,850 lbs and a maximum gross combined vehicle weight rating of 20,000 lbs.

Looks like you might have read it wrong. That's about what my 4x4 is rated for and it has the 3.55

I looked up the 2500 QC CTD 4X2 auto.....9750?

I think I need more pull that that. Was hoping to get 12k lb for a little slack pulling a 10-12k lb toy hauler.

The 4.10 gearset will pull a little more (rated). It will pull more, but your auto trans won't last. Upgrade the trans and she'll pull 14k all day long.
