G-day.Today a gremlin (perv-a-tron = Qxxxx electron that goes around blowing fuses) bummed a ride. I sure hope it is a short ride.
My problem= my turn signals won't work. My hazard lights won't work.
My knowledge is one short notch above zero..
Checked my bulbs. Pulled them out and put my meter on each one and they all checked good.
For a short period of time my hazard lights would indicate the left side would work. then lost all of it again.
The fuses cost $5.00 each so I am a little hesitant to use too many of them. The fuses are located under the hood on the left fender well, (hey you knew that already, but thought I would jog your memory.)
I am thinking the only thing my turn signals and hazard lights have in common is the wiring and flasher. As soon as I can find my flasher unit I will check it out. Still looking for it. Know it is somewhere in the truck but it is hiding from me.
Any ideas? Am I on the right track?
Thanks in advance for your guidance.
i pinched a tralier wire once while towing and lost all mine and had the addition of brake and abs light staying on, i was thinking the "flasher" was in the panel beside the drivers door...i could be wrong i haven't had to get into mine for a while

The first place to check is any trailer wiring that has been added to the truck. Even pull the trailer connector apart and have a look inside of the back of it, where the wires hook up. They are a big scoop for mud and slush, and can easily short out in the winter months.
