amen,thanks for that,there is a way to tell,if there is metal in the cap its a manufactured tire,if its all rubber its a retread,

studies have shown the chances of a retread failing and a tire from a manufacturer,are the same same.if you take care of your retreads they will take care of you,plus the savings are incredible,with the high d.o.t standards,for retreads they are as safe as a manufactured tire,anymore.a little fyi,the seam of a retread is the strongest part of the tire,it acts just like a weld on metal,they are made so well and tested so well,you cant tell by looking at them that they are retreads.
