Stupid Newbie Question
From what little I've been reading.. am I to understand that the speedometer is programmable to match the tire size your riding on? If so.. how is this done without spending an arm and a leg at a dealership? If not, please straighten me out. I'm considering oversized tires on the next go around. Thanks for your help. Hip

Well Sence you have a 24v you are in luck. If you have a programmer most are able to calobrate for tires. Some are prety cheap to get, Many guys can help you out on which one to get. They are basicly pulg and play and can be way cheaper than going to the dealer and you can keep them if you need to change anything again.

Try asking the dealer what they would charge you. If you bought it from them, and have been a good customer, they might do it free, it only takes a couple minutes. It might help if you get some other work done at the same time. Some other shops may have the proper computer to reset it, just need to ask around, maybe even the tire dealer.

I have a "Scanguage" I believe can send codes. But I wouldn't know what they would be. Anyone have a clue? Also I noticed tonight that there was a factory software update applied to the ecm on 7/31/2000. Anyone have any clue what this was about? Thanks for all your input!
