Come on , everybodies speedometers are correct ? No way! I suppose I could go up in tire size from the sticker size of 245/75-16 to 285/75-16 . Anybody?

The 95 model year still used the speed sensor on the transfer case. I don't recall there being any ability for software to change the pinion factor for the speedo. You would have to see if there's a different pinion gear available for the speed sensor.

I would think going up in size to a 265 would be about right... and there are different pinions for the speed sensor. From what i remember there is a color code system to them...

Is it 5 mph off at all speeds? I have never done this, but read about someone else doing it. Remove the gauge cluster and then the plastic cover that is over the gauges. Secure the shaft that the needle is pressed on to (with bent needle nose pliers perhaps) then pull the needle off. Reinstall the needle with a 5 mph decrease. Mine is off by 2 mph, but I don't care.

With my experience with GPS I'd have to say it is the speedo in error.

Here is a link for the speedo gears and conversion for tire size. I ordered the short gear which is wrong but the gear itself will come off the shaft and can be installed on the stock shaft with some loc tight. It was a dealer part but cheap about $14. I have seen prices for the long one online and they are pricey. The part number's listed are off a little needs a extra 0,but if you were to go to the dealer they could figure it out from the numbers provided. Better option than screwing with the gauge cluster.
