Spare tire winch won't keep the tire tight.

I have a 4" dual exhaust system from Rip Rook. My spare tire winch backed off and the tire ended up swinging by the cable. The pipes pass so close to the spare that it swinging by the cable broke the weld on one of the hangars. Is there a way to tighten that thing up so it won't back off, or do I need to replace it. Even after I crank it down until it clicks several times, it still won't get it snug up against the frame.

You'll need to replace it! The part was replaced under warranty on mine. retail is only $65.00. Do a search as there are some discount sites for mopar parts.

I think it's called the spare tire winch. When I go off road again I'm going to install a "Master" brand cable lock. Don't trust the winch. I crawled under my wife's company Ford an lo and behold, same product.
