Which shocks??

Guys,

My 98 with 69K miles, is ready for some upgrades. This will be a daily driver. So, if you have an opinion on some softer, easier riding, less harsh riding shocks, please feel free to pass your choice onto me.....

Thanks,

Tom

If you run a mix of empty and loaded or tow at all, I would suggest Rancho 9000's.....they are completely adjustable and always provide the exact mount of required dampening in any load condition.....

Bilstein 5100's....everybody that's running them seems to be very happy with them.

They're cheaper than 9000's too.....

Shocks are the next thing I replace on my truck. I'm leaning towards the Rancho 9000 with the remote control damping system.

I have the Rancho adjustables on my 3500. I can't see doing that again. I did not opt for the controller, now that I do want one...they aren't available. Too much crap to adjust em.

I kind of like the Bilsteins idea. They are likely going to be the ticket for me.
The big picture is a smoooother ride. I'm kinda tired of the buck-board effect. I wonder how the Bilsteins 5100 series will perform compared to stockers @ 70,000 miles???

Thanks,

Tom

The Bilsteins are stiffer than stock shocks I like the ride and handling of mine.

Go rancho 9000's

Or skyjackers as i got.. soft ride, with eight ply tires too, a lil too soft... I got used to a 1993 F 250 IDI turbo diesel, 10 ply tires, 350 springs, 410 gears, and empty some of the time... I miss the feelin of kidneys in my throat...
