removing front sway bar

Does anyone run there truck with out a front sway bar? On my 96, the bracket that is in front of the coil springs which the sway bar endlinks bolt to broke completely off on the drivers side. I am contiplating just removing the sway bar completely. Thanks

I wouldn't remove it, It serves a purpose. Just weld it back on.

well the reason it broke is because the steel is brittle and weak from years of rust and i dont think there is enough meat to it to be able to get a good weld, i got to look at it better tomorrow when i have good daylight

Many guys are running no sway bar when upgraded suspensions are installed. With a high pressure gas shock (king/fox,etc) they are able to handle the transient motion better. You will how ever have to get used to the feeling of more lean
