rear disc brakes or lack of!

Towing a 10,000 lb 5er and after a long trip (1500 miles) the front rims are red with disc pad residue. The rear wheels have a very slight dusting of pad residue. This truck has 60,000 miles and drives and brakes fine when not pulling a load. When loaded with 5er with 1800 lbs of pin weight the rear brakes don't do much to stop the truck/trailer. My understanding is that the ABS is controlled thru the ECM and that is pretty much what it is going to be.
Has anyone figured out how to change the brake bias on their truck. The older trucks had height sensor on rear axle to compensate for loads now it is done by the computer. Any help appreciated!

Now that you have been officially welcomed, we can officially help you.

Unfortunately, unless your truck has the rear height adjusting thingamabobber, your outta luck getting your rear brakes to grab more. But if you do find a way please let me know. I'm tired of going through front pads once a year.

I'll take a 6 pack of Corona please.

Well maybe short rack of Keystone beer or better yet a jug of Jack Daniels if you can do a solution for my brake problem. progess if not always good! In the case of these brakes it is kind of takes this truck back to drum brakes. Nice going Chrysler!

Gotta be a way. They reprogram the ECM's to change power (catcher ecm). Just wondering if Chrysler or someone else can change the brake bias.

Are you using your electric brakes to stop or your truck? Might check to see if your controller is working right ..
