Rear Disc brakes or upgrade rear shoes???
Ok since I need to replace the rear shoes, drums and hardware on my 92 W250 5spd i'm trying to decide,if its worth switching to rear disc or if I should upgrade to the 1 ton rear drum set up? Anyone here running rear disc brakes looking for opinions both negitive and positive. Thanks
I did the disc swap this summer. no complaints, works very well. glad I did it.

I converted to disk around 4 years ago and I couldn't be happier. You don't have to pull the axles to do the brakes, sweet...You have to use the parking brake in order to adjust the calipers. I thought that the parking brake was weak too, but I called erg and they sent me instructions on how to adjust them and now I can kill the engine with the parking brake set. That said, I still don't trust it to hold my boat, trailer and truck from going into the sea...Mark
