Putting cruise control in 2001 CTD 2500

I was wondering how hard it would be to put a factory cruise control in my 2001 CTD 2500.It didn't have it when I got it but I would like to put it on.THANKS

I have the same problem, it looks to be easier to use a aftermarket like Audiovox with a magnet kit.<br>I have used them before and they work ok, cost about $85.

From what I understand, you can add the factory cruise to your truck. It does cost more and you may have to get a new multi-function switch(which is my case) and take apart your steering wheel. You can get the parts at the dealer and if memory serves me correctly was around $300 with the switch. If anybody knows the actual price please correct me. I checked into this about 6 months ago and can't remember the exact price.

My dealer said the factory cruise for the diesel was discontinued.So I thought about trying to find something at a junkyard,but don't know what all I'll need.I may have to get an after market.

I know this thread is old but I was wondering if you got a factory unit to work, i got all the parts but it doesnt seem to work, I think the servo is bad
