Paint Colors on 2nd Gens

What’s your favorite colors in Blue on these trucks? It can be a factory blue or a custom blue. I’m thinking of getting my white 99 3500 painted.

Feel free to post photos with the paint code.

I liked Patriot blue w/ driftwood rockers, stock color. The only one I found while shopping was a 53 block, I passed. There was a lighter metallic that I thought also looked good with the driftwood rockers, but don't know the name of it....ended up with an Arctic White Mexican block.....

Not all 53's were bad. I knew of the issue early so I avoided taking any chances, however that was over 15 years ago and many 53's are still running strong, meaning they didn't all have the issue...How many miles on yours?

I drug it home and parked it. I moved in 2010 and the truck sat in Gardena, Ca at a friends business until about a month ago. I replaced the VP in 2011 but the Airdog100 didn’t work and I just let the truck sit. Anyway the county bitched about the rusty flatbed in his yard for rusty rain gutter runoff so I had to move the truck and I decided to get it running.

Airdog warrantied the pump and I bled the system and the truck runs good now. The tranny was giving me fits but I think the GM pressure solenoid has cleared that up.

I’ve added gauges, a used bed $500, new Firestone tires $380 and junker Chinese Cast rims $315 shipped so I couldn’t pass up the price.

The previous owner had the trucker style mirrors so I’ve either have to patch the doors or find some locally to swap the doors out. The truck needs paint either way. I’ve got a new dash cover and bezel on the way too. This is a budget build, lol.

Thank you. I’ve got to wire in the tail lights and install the new Bilstein rear shocks in the next couple of days and then install the rear bumper.
