overhead temp probe location

I just bought an '01 Dodge diesel and it has a cowl induction hood. He gave me the stock hood and I want to hook up the temperature probe for the overhead console. Where does it mount? There is a bracket attached to it but I am unsure if it hooks to the back of the grill or the underside of the hood.

Thank you!

are you talking about the ambient air sensor? if so it mounts to the radiator support. that sensor is what gives you the outside air temp. hope that helps.

The guy I bought it from just said it controls the overhead computer temperature. Right now since it is unhooked, it is not showing the outside temp. Any chance someone could snap a pic of where it mounts and email it to me? seinfeld3@hotmail.com

Thanks!
James

Interesting... mine is hooked to the center of the grill backside. It goes up with the hood. Mine is a Sport model.

Mine's mounted to the hood latch, hood side.
Non sport.

I think there are pics in my gallery, took them when another member asked where it goes.

I just replaced hood on mine and both trucks have it on hood, behind the grille, right next to the latch
