Trans temp probe location

Where do you guys put your transmission temp gage probe at? In the pan? Cooler lines? If it is in the cooler lines, how did you do it?

Thanks!

I have mine in the aft right test port... works well and responds well to the load..It was the only test port that would hold the length of the probe.

Massdiesel has a line that replaces your current line. It goes on the line exiting the transmission to the cooler. I believe it was around $80. I like the response it gives me. Backing up my driveway, the temperature will go to 190*. The driveway is only 50 feet long. JMO

I lost the instruction sheet to the gage. Can you guys tell me what wire goes where? The light is obvious, but there are terminals marked "B", "T", and what looks like ground. I just want to make sure I have the wires going to the right spot before install.

Any help would be appreicated!

Thanks!
