Is this normal?
I just bought a 1998 12V and drove it home from Arizona. I don't know if this is normal, but when the turbo starts cranking the air flow through the A/C vents start to blow harder. Is this possible? I couln't find any similair isuues in the forum. Thanks
the more turbo=more flow through vents?...what kind of air? hot/cold?
That phenomenon is pretty commom in vehicles that you have either or: a generator, nominal alternator output, a charging system that is almost worn out, or you have every accessory in the vehicle on...so it could be quite normal

The vents default to defrost when there is little or no vacuum. Could be it just sounds like the blower is turning faster in the defrost mode.
I would suspect you have a vacuum leak somewhere.
