No Turn Signals or Hazards
We have a 1999 Dodge 3500 Diesel. When hooking up someone's boat to our truck we lost our turn signals, hazards and taillights. We checked all fuses in the side panel and under the hood and replaced 2. Now we have taillights but still no turn signals or hazards. What else could be wrong? :'( Thanks for your help & suggestions......

Re:No Turn Signals or Hazards
Had that happen once to me when hooking up a mis-wired trailer. Mine was a burned out fusible link connected at driver side battery. (this was on a '95 2500) Dead flasher will cause lack of one, not both (two flashers, one turn signal, other 4 way hazard). HTH

Re:No Turn Signals or Hazards
I have had both flashers burn out because of miswired trailers (I check my turns using the 4 ways)...besure the underhood fuses are good and seated correctly in the power distribution box

Re:No Turn Signals or Hazards
I think you'll find that your 1999 Ram has a single combination flasher rather than the two some have suggested. It is not a conventional flasher but rather a "smart" relay with integrated circuitry. The service manual states that it can't be tested with conventional automotive test equipment. As far as I know it is available only from the dealer. It would be good to try a known good flasher before buying one. If you know anyone with a 1999-2002 Ram the flasher should be the same. You'll find the combination flasher behind the door at the left end of the dash.

Re:No Turn Signals or Hazards
Thanks everyone for your help. We got a new flasher from the dealer and they also found burnt wires that needed replaced or they would have burned out the new flasher too. What a mess! Everything's ok now though so we can "Keep On Truckin".......... Thanks again for the help! 8)
