Leak in windshield wiper fluid container

It is dripping fluid along the plastic seam from the side of the container. I was going to clean it up and see if some RTV blue might fix it. Anyone know of anything better to seal a leak in that plastic container?

I was thinking JB Weld but RTV might work too.
I would rough up the plastic a bit with a wire brush or course sandpaper first.

I didn't know JB Weld worked with or was compatible with plastic?

Shoe Goo? My dad swore by it for nearly everything.

Patched one with JB many years ago and it is still holding. Heck I'm driving on a JB patched fuel tank. Works great!

Come to think of it, I have even patched 3" hole in the top of the timing case on a '97, where the KDP made an exit when I was 1000 miles from home. A little cardboard bridge and 3 packs of JB and the truck was still not leaking 75,000 later when I sold it.

I will give JB a shot on the plastic windshield fluid tank. Sounds like a better option than RTV. I didn't think plastic material would hold up to a 2 part epoxy like JB weld.

How many miles were on that motor when the dowel pin came out? Guess it pays to always have some JB weld with you during road trips.

It was on a '97 with about 150k on it. back before I was following the forums and had no clue about them. I drove that truck another 3 years with no problems. Sold it and as far as I know the new owner is running the JB. Just clean the plastic with a good carb cleaner or Acetone if you have it. It sort of etches it for better adhesion. I've patched a lot of dash problems with it also. As a matter of fact it is commonly used to close off water ports on Jeep heads when swapping them to earlier blocks. It is wonderful stuff.
