Welcome to DTR!

I dont know personally if a dealership will know about killing the KDP, i can bet you money they dont even know what it is. Chances are it has not been fixed, some people drill and tap the case to kill that KDP so you might wanna look at the timing cover to see if it has been drilled or tapped in any way, if not then there is a slim chance it has been tabbed, removing the timing cover is the only way to find out. If i was you, id order the TST KDP repair kit, it was a great help for me, nothing but basic wrenching, and you can do it..

Tx

For your 12v Truck,

here is some good reading and an introduction to the world of BOMBing... Read on down and ull see some long post by me, please read it

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...t=78573&page=1

as u can see, most start with a GSK, a fuel plate, timing, and a different Air intake.. Get some gauges first then enjoy the BOMBing..

The first thing you will need before any mods is a good set of guages. Pyro, boost and if you have an auto tranny temp would be good to have. After this you can install a BHAF and 4" straight pipe to help with egts and turbo spool up. After this you could install a fuel plate. A#10 plate is about all the stock transmission/clutch will handle.

99.5% of dealers will deny ANY knowledge of the KDP problem. You will have to pull the timing cover and check - there is no way to tell if its repaired when the timing cover is in place.
