Just put a new headliner in my dodge

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Ebay member: smsheadliners is really great to work with and the color and material was an exact match. I had plenty of material to do the headliner with.

This was my first headliner install and it turned out great using the supplied instructions

Has detailed instructions on how to install it and cost about $35.00 shipped. The headliner glue you can get at autozone for about 10 to 12 dollars, so I have about $47.00 total in my headliner.

Highly recommended.

I can't imagine trying to put in a headliner. You would need to have 13 hands and 3 monkeys.

It's a lot different then "The Olden days"

Now it's glued to a large piece of cardboard-type material instead of hung on wires.
Pull the trim, remove the cardboard form, scrape of the old glue and foam with a wire brush.
Spray on the glue, and smooth the material over the cardboard form.

I did my Mother's '86 Aries 4 door in about 3 1/2 hours.

Just a thought, but why are you guys replacing the headliner? Has it been hanging down in spots, or was it just dirty? The reason I ask is because if it is just dirty, you can have a carpet cleaning company that does upholstry (sp?) clean it for you. I work for a carpet cleaning company and I did mine a few weeks ago and it looks brand new. It took about 15 mins and took every dirty/ dusty spot out and mine was in pretty bad shape. As compared to the $47 do it yourself job, it might be cheaper and it will be a whole lost faster to have a pro (like myself ) do it for you. If we got a call to do it, then you would be looking at $40 and some change. Give a local cleaner a call and see what you can get him to do it for.

Did mine a couple of weeks ago for under $10. Got the glue at walmart and the material at a fabric store. It did make me question my manhood taking a bolt of fabric up to the lady to get cut. Got alot of funny looks in there but the price was right. The whole process wasnt that hard. Just takes a little patience.

Did you get the fabric with the pretty pink and blue flowers on it?

My headliner was sagging bad. The previous owner took about 10 pins and pinned the front of the headliner up by the windshield so it wouldn't block the view.

BIG BLUE I looked but I didnt see any with perty flowers but I did see some with Gdog jeere tractors on it! The wife suggested the blue **** fur material but we settled on a gray that is almost an exact match to the plastic interior. Right at $5 for 1.5 yards.

I got mine from the same fabric place. When I got it, the color was a little lighter than the original, so the visors stand out some. I had trouble on the edges, by the window, and the windshield, and in the back by the glass? I cant get it to like stay up, it sags. The fabric isnt seperated from the foam, the whole deal sags down. It looks bad by the drivers window alot. Can I get some glur or what? I dont want it to seep through, because thats what happened to the last guy.
