Part number supposed to be: 3928499
Check the little blurb at the bottom of the page that reads
" * Cummins Thermostat:
A series of revised part numbers has been issued - check with a Cummins parts department for the latest. P/N 3934373
eliminates temperature fluctuation but engine warmup is slower and the operating temperature is lower than with previous t-stats."
Ill check my binder tomorrow and get you the p/n for the stat I put in my 98 12V....

O.k. guys, I'm looking for a new stat and to be honest I'm lost with all the numbers I have seen . What I want is the one that is going to keep her cool when I'm towing and not fluctuate all the time . Please help I,m going cross eyed!!! The mopar number would be best. Thanks
All the numbers that have been given are from Cummins. Personally I dont pay attention to Mopar p/n's because I wont buy anything at a dealership.
Im not sure why everyone is so confused - other than some people wanting thermostats for 12Vs and others wanting them for 24Vs. The part numbers are different so I suppose thats where the confusion is. Just follow the link for your year of truck or just go down to Cummins and pick one up.
