Infinity Sound System
I'm being lazy and I really don't want to tear my whole dash apart. So does anyone know where the factory mounted the amp in our trucks?
i believe there is 2, one on each 6x9 in the doors
and one under the passenger side dash board for the whole system.
I could be wrong tho.
I know there is a remote wire coming from the back of the stereo to turn on the factory amp...

I thought the little black boxes mounted on each door speaker were cross overs for the tweeters up in the pillers. And, yeah, with the stereo pulled out I can hear the amp clicking on and off behind the dash. I was just hoping all I had to do was dig further behind the stereo. I guess I'll have to tear the dash apart to get to the darn thing.
I just replaced the entire stereo system in my truck. I had the infinity sound system and the amps were mounted with the 6x9 speakers. I replaced all the speakers, ran all new speaker wire, installed a new head unit, and added a 60x4 amp.
The thing sounds awesome!!! Just replace the speakers and head unit and be done with it!!!
