Infinity amp replacement

I have the factory infinity stereo that I want to keep in my truck, but I want to upgrade my speakers. From what I understand, I need to use the factory infinity amps to power my new speakers if I want to keep the stock head unit. One of my amps is acting up and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy just the infinity amp without the speaker from dodge, or do I have to buy one of there crappy speakers to go with it? Thanks.

I replaced my radio AND speakers about 8 months ago - the speakers came with their own amps - but I'll be, if I can remember the make of the speakers - if my son pops in soon I'll ask him if he remembers and I"ll post another note.

I personally couldn't stand the stock radio and speakers - too much distortion at higher volumes, but this Alpine I installed is great (model CDA-9815)

I know that the aftermarket stereos sound much better than the stock ones, but I want to keep the stock one because I like the way it looks and it has cd and cassette. We have lots of talking cassettes that I still want to listen too when traveling. Thats why I need to use the stupid infinty amp on the rear of the factory door speakers.

I sold my stock system but I think I have the amps around somewhere still. If you don't find any, let me know and I'll put on a search.

Im just curious because i dont know too much about the system.
I have a pioneer head unit, not sure the model , but I know it was arounf $4oo, and I just got a bazooka tube to hook up to it.
I have the stock speakers , but i figures since I will be upgrading , I should do the speakers, But If im going to need an amp to run the speakers, I might have to re figure the whole thing. The reason I went with the bazooka tube, is because it has an amp included .

Again, Im not a music connisuer, Id just like some incresed decibles and a mild improvement
