I Finally Got All my Stuff Swapped to My New Truck Today

Well i finally got the ***** to drill holes in my truck today. I mounted my extra fuel tank in the bed of the truck. I mounted my CB , which took longer to decide where it was going to fit than it did to mount it. I mounted it directly in front of the transfercase lever, when you go to 4 low it barely misses.I am finally starting to feel at home in the dodge, you know how it is when you have had something else for several years.

Congrats,
I know what you mean about drilling holes and deciding where to put stuff in the cab. Dodge could have done a little better in the 2nd gens with the cab layout. Took me forever to decide where to put everything, it all just fits:

Didn't have the stomach to put my own GN hitch in, had that done by a shop on Friday.

I toyed with the idea of putting my cb in the pocket also but it just didn't fit right size wise.My gear shift **** is turned exactly like yours , what the hell do they all do that.. How does the **** come off anyone know, i will be getting one from Geno's that has the button in it pretty soon, it sure is anoying to reach under the steering wheel to turn on the exhaust brake. There are so many trinkits that i want to add where do i start.

It's not the whole **** that is turning, it's just the insert with the shift pattern on it. I had the dealer fix it once under warranty and then it turned again, I said screw it as I never look at it anyway.
There is a cool picture in the gallery of some guy who put a bunch of switchs in his overhead console that look really sweet. He didn't have the same console as I do, so I couldn't do it (I have the console with the sunglass case/garage door opener holder in it). Don't know what console you have, but here is a pic, incase you want to see where a good switch location is.

Since the sunglass holder is useless (if you actually use it, the clasp breaks), you could put the switches there.

I use the sunglass holder for my hunting/fishing license; registration and insurance; cappuccino cards; and an extra 20 dollars that has spared me grief and agony a few different times.

I put three switches in the dash bezel. Had to bend the tabs that the wire connect to ever so slightly to get connectors on them, but I could have avoided that by soldering some leads to them. They have bullet connectors so they can be disconnected if I need to remove the bezel. I should have turned one of them on in this pic, since they're a bit hard to see:

Mine shifts on me all the time. To remove the shift ****, you have to pry that shift pattern "button" off w/ a small flathead, but be care, you can scratch it pretty easily. The way to "fix" it is to just use the palm of your hand, press down hard, and turn. It should stay in place for short amount of time. Thats why I don't worry about it anymore.
