Horn stopped working (97)
My horn stopped working after weeks of souding pretty weak (dull and flat). Anyway- tried a replacement NAPA unit which doesn't work when connected in place of the stock unit (the NAPA horn does work when jumped direct to the batt). I know this brings up a host of troubleshooting issues! Anybody else have problems with the stock horn? What should I look for-is it the relay or what? Just fishing for help before I tear the harness apart?! Also the location of the relay ( 97 2500). The Haynes book is weak on horn issues.

Well it's fixed! For future ref the horn relay and fuse are located in the electrical distribution box on the left (driver's) side fender well next to the battery. Inside the lid it's well marked as to whats what.
BTW it was the horn it's self that went bad.
Anybody ever install duel electric horns? I wonder if the factory relay and fuse will support two horns?
Yea, I know air horns would be better- thats a project for another day!
