Tac Stopped Working ???

My tack dropped to 0 and started smoking and backfiring for about 10 mins then tack jumped back up and stopped smoking ran fine for a few miles then started again.. any help would be great thanks

Probably connected to your other post.

Have you changed the fuel filter lately? Do you know if your lift pump is working?

check for code p0341 camshaft position sensor, mine went out at 53k

So did mine. But on a 1999, I believe they used a CRANKshaft position sensor. I agree that this is probably your problem though.

I had to replace mine, but I was lucky because the Check Engine Light came on and I had the code read by a buddy with a scanner. It took about an hour after finding the correct tools. The starter bolts can be a BEAR to break loose, but it was an easy job.
