During my Trip this weekend I noticed when I use the remote to lock the doors, It doesnt Chrip the horn anymore. My Horn Works Fine.
What Happened? and Can I restore it to the way it was?
Thanks!

Maybe it means your transmitter battery is going dead. I know with my wifes honda when the battery is getting low the horn will chirp three times when you lock it.

If the battery in the transmitter is not going dead you can do the following to re-enable the horn chirp. I just went out and tryed it on my '01 and it worked to turn the chirp on and off.
1. Turn the key to on (but do not start)
2. Hold the unlock button for 4 to 10 seconds, while still holding the unlock button, press the lock button and release both at the same time.
3. A single beep from inside the cab should be heard and programming is complete.
To enable or disable the chirp is the same process.
Hope this helps!

My alarm goes off about every week when I unlock the doors with the remote. It's done that since new and is very exciting with my extremely loud air horns. It sure does get everyone's attention....

My ingnition lockset is getting worn. If I don't turn it off in the exact right spot, it won't chirp. Usually when that happens, it rolls over to acc and the radio will be on.

Thanks guys, I'll run out and try that in a few minutes! If the battery is bad, does the transmitter need to be reprogramed for the truck at the dealer?
Thanks!

If the battery is bad you can simply change them out. pop the fob open with a dime. It will NOT need reprogramming. Check your key switch to make sure it's in the lock position. it won't honk if it's not. That test will be free.
