06 QC: Turn off horn beep when locking

All,

I've tried following the directions in the user manual a few times now and still have not successfully turned the horn beep off when I lock it with the keyless system. Can anyone lend any tips short of disconnecting the horn? It echoes across the canyon and I don't think my neighbors care too much that I locked it for the night

I do believe that I have properly followed the directions in the manual. I hold the lock button for four seconds or so while in the 'ON' position, then while still holding it, hold the unlock button. But I never hear the chime and it still honks the horn.

Loving this truck!!
thanks!

Are you following the instructions to the letter?

Door closed, seatbelt on, facing east, chicken foot in center of pentragram.

Hopefully you are pressing the Lock and Unlock buttons on the key FOB and not the door!

there is a yellow sheet addendum to the owners manual that has the CORRECT sequence for turning off the HORN BEEP. If you follow the manual it wont work. If you dont find the added sheets in the back let me know and will type in sequence for you....

Ahh .. I still have them! Glanced real quick at the dealer, when all I could think about was going for a drive on the back roads. I'll check again.

thanks!!

Can someone post the correct sequence here?
I did not get the the yellow sheet with my truck.
Does the yellow sheet also address turning off the horn beep when backing up with the door open?
TIA
