John Deere Summer formula fuel additive in every tank since new. They make a winter formula for those who live in cold climates or sustained temps. below 32 degrees. If it is good enough for Big Green then it must be good enough for my Cummins!

Re:Fuel Additives, Do you use them??

I run Stanadyne in mine more for peace of mind than anything else. One thing I have noticed during our real cold weather is a blue tint to my exhaust. It only happens in real cold weather. I tried running my additive every second tank and it went away. <br> I was talking to one of the local truckers who uses the same stuff and mentioned the blue exhaust to him. He said that it is an over-concentration of additive because I never run my tank to empty (low fuel light comes on, I fill it) Going to every second fill still gives me the additive in a smaller quantity though because of whats left in the tank when I fill. I will say that the truck does run noticeably better and quieter when using the additive compared to not using it.
