Dually tire question......
Re:Dually tire question......
I run Hercules Terra Trac A/T and get around just fine in snow in 2WD. Very rarely do I put it in 4wd. I do weigh a little more than most, but I don't have a problem getting anywhere. I also have 255/85/16. They are taller but only slightly wider than a 235/85/16. They fit just fine on the stock rim and they don't touch in the rear. Although it is close(1/2"
. When I do put it in 4X4 I can just about floor the throttle and get nearly no slip. Actually, tonight its snowing out and was cruising around with my buddy. For fun I put it in 4X4 and at a stop light took off in 2nd gear and killed the engine! These tires are enough to bog the engine in 4" of snow!!!

Re:Dually tire question......
I use Michelin LTX MS tires, and yes, I have driven in snow & ice away from home. Not a problem. For the E rating they were around $165 a pop.

I would try the XPS tires that Pit Bull mentioned. If you use the truck for its purpose stay with the "E" load range. All those other tires for $99 buck are probably "C" range or passenger rating.
Re:Dually tire question......
I also run the Michelin LTX MS on my 2wd dually. To this date I have never been stuck in the snow with them (except once) and they always seem to find a good grip. The one time I slipped the *** end into the ditch in front of my house and nothing short of 4wd would have saved me there. But as far as running on the roads (paved and non paved) I get around.
Yes they are a expensive tire but I feel well worth it for a year round daily driving and working E range tire.
