DRL and Power Window Button Lights
DRL and Power Window Button Lights
Hey all,
Quick question. I disabled my DRL by splicing the two red wires together going into the module and reconnecting the harness.
Works fine, no DRL's and I still have the high beam indicator.
Question is, I notice the power lock/windows buttons are illuminated whenever the truck is running whether I have the lights on or not. I could have sworn they only came on when the lights were on.
Can anyone confirm please?
Cheers,
Taz

When I jumped my power seat fuse to the power window fuse so I could run the windows with the key off I noticed my switches are illuminated all the time. My truck has sat for two weeks straight and this has not had an affect on the batteries.
This tells me they may be wired directly to be ignition on illuminated, and I don't have DRL.

The window mod does leave your switch lights on all the time , I,m sure it would help drain you batterys over time. To turn off my DRL's I push my park brake in like a 1/4 inch . Gives you a flashing brake light but would rather that than my high beam light screwed up. Anyone know how to disable the DRL without any ill effects?
