uh, does the plate say VETERAN or have a crest from any of the 5 branches of the military, or does it just say IDAHO/Famous Patotoes and have the red white and blue? the tags themselves don't do anything, some states they might be cheaper, and at least in CA that money will go to that organization I believe.

In Ontario Canada anything truck wise over 10,000 lbs is classified commercial and must be smog checked yearly $80.00 and have trip paperwork filled out each time you drive $ 360.00 fine if you don't and you can only drive on designated routes in the suburbs. But they will let you put custom plates and veterans plates on anything for a fee . Last time it was $210.00. I registered my 1990 duly super conversion at only 9800 lbs GVW though it can hold 15,000 lbs or more GVW but I didn't want the hassles and I never drive fully loaded off the work yard . But I do on occasion put 8000 lbs of copper cables in the back . 80 pc 4/0 fifty foot long 100 lbs each . Yes the tires do turn into hockey pucks in the deep cold .
