Howdy,<br><br>So the spring sprung out of the hinge <br><br>The hinge seems to still be in decent shape and I have the spring still. Do I have to take apart the whole door? Is there some way of putting it back in? I can manage to get it back in.<br><br>Thanks

 

Before you put the spring back, check the brass bushings. On mine, someone at the factory had put the bushings in upside downm so that they just fell out.<br>george

I lost a spring recently. Im having a hard time getting the new one in. Anyone have any tricks for this? Thanks

 

a company called "steck" makes a spring compressor for the older gm hinges not sure if it will work on ours though but you can find one at most napa stores and try it.
