Dodge stinks!

I hope everyone else on here learns a lesson how Diamler Chrysler treats there customers, I have an 01 with a cracked dash...I keep hearing how they help some people but not others I started trying in September when I had 69,000 miles on my truck....same awnser then too many miles and outside the warranty....All descisions are based on a case by case basis and your past history with Dodge......I guess they dont want new business since I own aservice business containing 15 trucks and each time I have tried Chrysler products I have been disapointed in one way or another....My next truck unfortunatly will have a Ford diesel in it.

Some dealers/car companies just don't realize how much customer service is worth! From my experience, Honda treats customers way better.

I don't blame some people for not buying a certain car when they're treated poorly by that company.

Your warranty on the dash is expired. It's the warranty you agreed to when you bought it. It's not something anyone is springing on you at the last moment. Just like the warranty on the radio has expired. A new factory dash is less the $200 and is easy to replace. Just make sure your transfer the vin tag. Your engine is still under warranty. Actually, your engine may not be under warranty anymore, due to your add ons ==>Just turned up 75 hp with sc programmer, K&N air filter,

Complaining about the ENGINE, but ford does make a fine dash.

70k on the truck and you are upset about a cracked dash, just wait until you have 6k on your new ford and there is a geyser of antifreeze shooting out of the head.

If you're looking to change brands, you should seriously concider a GMC or Chevy Duramax over the Ford. We have several Ford F-450's, F-550's and several GMC TopKick C4500's (We also have a F-650, but it doesn't count because of the Cat power and GVW of 26,000lbs). All of them with GVW's of 15,000 lbs or 18,000 lbs. And we load these trucks to the max; even while towing an equipment trailer coming in at 10,000 lbs. Now I gotta say, the Fords are in the shop the most. Injector problems, fuel pump whether lift or injection issues, turbo issues, prematurely worn brakes, transmission failures, even a few blown head gaskets; these Fords are always braking down. Seems like transmission replacments are the most common failure in these trucks.
The GMC TopKick Duramax's with Allison 1000's have been great. No major issues, expect maybe going into limp mode for low window washing fluid. Seriously, they have for the most part been problem free. In fact this winter when it's time to start expanding, it'll most likely be either Chevy's or GMC's. At least that's what I'm gonna spec out for my boss.
Now don't get me wrong, I realize that Chevy's and GMC's have their share of defects. But by and large we feel the GMC's have the most reliable for our fleet of medium flatbed trucks operations.

I had a 05 Jeep Wrangler before my cummins, and had nothing but problems with that. Trying to get a dealer to fix anything on it was like pulling teeth. I wrote Chrysler a few times about the issues, didn't even get so much as a response. Finally filed lemon law and settled out of court.
And, then I went and bought a dodge Still not a fan of chrysler products, but come H#@$ or high water, I was getting a cummins. If I would have had the time or money, I would have put a cummins in a ford or chevy, but that wasn't the case. Knock on wood, its been ok so far though. Other than droppig a large chunk of money on parts to fix the poorly designed frontend, its been pretty good to me.

If you had known that the Dodge trucks had edited by admin dashes would have you still bought the truck? I probably would have. On the other hand I do feel that it is definitely a design defect and Chrysler needs to step up to the plate from what I can tell all of the dashes will crack its just a matter of when, if it was that all the paint would peel off or the windshields would fall out and it was a matter of when I guarantee that it would be fixed.
