Was going to use hairdryer and fishing line/dental floss.<br><br>And when I put the new ones on I know to strip the wax first, but should I wax it right away???????????<br><br>Any tips/help apprciated.

Re:Debadging question

I took mine off my truck. I started with a hair dryer that took forever,so I called a buddy who does body work. He told me a bout a eraser you put in your drill. That worked 10,000 times faster and better. I got mine at the car quest auto parts store. I think it was a 15 or 20 dollar investment. Then I got some 3-m adhesive remover and wiped it down. It turned out great.

Re:Debadging question

I used fishing line to get it started, then pulled them off by hand. Only broke one After that i used a lot of adhesive remover, polished &amp; waxed. If you're going to apply stickers in the same area, i would just clean it up real well and apply the wax after putting the stickers on.

Re:Debadging question

Found a heat gun I forgot I had. So between fishin line, dental floss and the heat gun I think we are covered. Just have to hope the weather clears up so I can work on it tommorrow before work.

Re:Debadging question

Kat<br> When I did mine, I didn't try any adhesive remover, just a hair dryer. I used my fingers to roll the glue into little ***** then pull them off. My drivers door took about 20 mins. total.<br>The pass side was a huge PITA. My fingers hurt for days :'(<br>I would definately get the adhesive remover.

LOL Hey Kat a decated truck nut would work in the weather the way it is. over here it's only misting alittle, LOL I had to work on the ranger out in the mist, washed the quad cab yesterday and didn't want to move it out of the garage to get wet, so I ended up working in the mist.

Re:Debadging question

Srtripped off all badges with a wood shim in between adhesive and the badge 3M adhesive will be your best friend throughout this process but when it is done the truck has a CLEAN look. Also removed tailgate stickers and limoed the windows. 8)

Re:Debadging question

My truck is a year old and Patriot Blue. Is there a noticable difference in paint tone after the removal of the Dodge and 4X4 stickers from the tailgate?
