This has happened to me a couple times. I just pulled the gauge cluster out and cleaned the contacts on the back and in the dash. Sometimes took a couple tries, but it's always come back on.

Sounds like your CCD buss is not working. Have you done any work under the dash ? If not, there may be a problem with the Central Timing Module. This is the box behind the ash tray. Depending on the truck model it will have 1 or 2 25 pin cables out of it.

Sundays outcome

Pulled instrament cluster and cleaned and greased pins, checked all fuses and reinstalled...... No worky. I know we got power to the gauges because they move slighly when we turn the ignition switch on. Guess it goes to the shop this week. Thanks for all the input.

The exact thing happened to my 01. It was the large white plug with the bolt going through it in the power distribution box. It was loose. Tightend it up and truck workd fine again. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the help. I checked the ground in the power dist. box and found the previous owner must of had the same issue. There were scrape marks on the bottom of the ground lug. So I rescraped the lug and it works! Well most of it. The speedo is pegged at 120mph, Just performed the diagnostic check of the instrament cluster and it recalibrated everthing. Good to go, Thanks to all who weighed in on the problem, saved pops $$$$$$$
