daytime running lights

Is there a way to check these modules, my lights stopped working few months back, and got a DRL module today from wreckers for $35 thinking that was the problem and still no lights. Maybe got a faulty module from wreckers not sure or problem lies somewhere else........I noticed today that when low beams on, the drivers side is brighter then passenger, but high beams are same. I switched bulbs and same thing so it's not the bulb.
Anyone experience the same ? Any feedback greatly appreciated.......thanks

one beig dimmer than the other is probably due to the lens .One was replaced and the other wasnt. The daytime running lights are messed on mine too,I unplugged the module because the lights wont go off when the truck is not running, its not the module either. It does the same with a new one.I dont know
