clutch pedal squeek
hello,
seems of late when i let my clutch out i get a bad squeek sound from the pedal. i am wondering if the spring that brings the pedal back up might need some WD-40? am i on the right track or might it be something else?
thanks,
david in socal

I just went through this last week, pull the panel under the colum, a new can of wd or your favorite will work best, and you need the hose jobby, you will see the pivot up under the dash, give it a shot cycle the pedal repeat a few times and the horrendous squeak will do away.

Mine was doing it, too. I did like said, pulled the cover off under the steering wheel and sprayed some PB Blast on the joints and sliding surfaces. I dont use WD for much because its really not a lubricant but a solvent.

Mine's doing it too...but just when I get to where I'm about to do something about it, it quits and then I forget about it. It comes and goes now, just don't remember to do my WD40 trick until I'm down the road and hear it squeek.
