Cheap steering brace

It's on its way. Is it cheap for a reason? His feedback was good so I'm going for it...I'll post an update when I get it.

It seems fine to me, I have it on my truck, seems to help(I need to finish doing my new balljoints and get the truck aligned) Came with good parts, installed in under 20 minutes. Fit good.

I feel better already. I've got a fresh front end so hopefully this will buy me some time on my gearbox.

I didn't buy that one, but one like it, on Ebay, for a reasonable price. Mine has been on a year, and its fine. It is good to see the price come down. Other than the fact that the brace is necessary, there isn't justification for such a high price, in my opinion. Mass production, buying parts in mass quanitity, they can sell these cheaper and still make profit. I wouldn't be afraid of it.

I got it put on last night and it sure did make a difference. My sway bar end link bushings were worn too so I got new end links and she drove like a dream...well almost. I still need to chase down a clunk in the steering wheel and have a suspicion that my shocks are the culprit.

This is well worth the money.

I bought one in about 2003 from the original guy in Canada who came up with the idea. It's been great. I have 270,000 miles on my truck now, and all with the original steering box.

At first the flex in the frame is minimal but exists. Anything that helps brace it is a definite improvement in tightening things up in the front end. I have a DSS on mine and it helps out.

It looks like a good piece and should be fine.
