I think you are referring to the sway bar, (or anti sway bar)
Is it connected to the frame at two points in the middle, then a connection on both sides of the axle, by the shocks?

Don't know what to tell you, I took mine off a couple years ago and haven't looked back.

I think you can get the ends and replace them, but don't quote me.

its just on the drivers side its kinda popping out of the lil spoon if u can imagine what im saying....but everythign is straight...i think im just gonna loosen the bolt on the hanger and pop that lil sucker in and then tighten it up...would i need to raise the truck for this?...i dont see anything thats gonna collapse so i dont see why i should

i took mine off on my 99....it rode better without IMO. only time i could tell was a increase in body roll when loaded heavy.

to get it off/finnagle it, you may need to jack up on the frame (unload the springs) a little to get it loose on both sides.

dont know if you're into the offroad scene or not, but suspension travel was exponentially better with it off. on road ride was better as well.

im pretty sure u can buy new endlinks for them, but im not sure of cost....

Thats the sway bar. The purpose is for handeling. It exerts preasure on both tires to help keep them both on the pavement during cornering. Your truck should handle better with it while on the road but would benefiet from its removal off road. By removing it you will get more suspension flex which translates to worse handling at speed.

As long as you don't try to take corners like a corvette, you should be fine.

Should be part # 5-5126 for your truck (but double check) for a complete set of sway bar bushings. You should be able to pick them up at your local NAPA for under $50 CAD.
