Question A certain kind of towing mirror (not ****/kool-vue)

I saw some random guy's truck at one of my jobsites today, and saw some of the best looking towing mirror's I've ever seen.

They looked like this, but the arm extended a good foot wider than these.

I'm not sure if they were telescopic or not, cause I didn't have a chance to stop and talk to the guy.

Now I'm most certainly not trying to offend anyone who has those dual arm (or split arm, whatever you want to call that style) **** or flip style Kool-Vue towing mirrors, but I think they are the most god awful fugly mirrors designed by someone with the designing talent of a vacant-headed cross-eyed 12 year old huffing paint thinner.

Anyhoo, I'd really like to find that style of towing mirrors. Looked like they stuck out further than any **** and Kool-Vue mirrors I've seen, and gave that guy's truck an almost aggressive look, if you know what I mean. Would rather them be non-heated and manual (aint used to all that fancy stuff. just more junk to break). Who knows, they very well could have been **** or Kool-Vue, and maybe I just haven't been searching around the right places for my 2nd gen, but if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be very appreciative.

Yeah, I tend to have a poetic turn of phrase every now and then. Then the redneck creeps back in and obliterates all traces of sophistication.

Sure it wasn't clip-ons for the factory mirrors?

200,000,000,001% positive that they were NOT factory mirrors with clip on extensions. It was a single mirror head about the size and shape of the one in that picture. Only thing different is that the arm that connects the mirror head to the truck was ~1-1.5' long.

Naw, it didn't look like any of those VZ or JF.

Here's the best I could do in photoshop to give yall an idea of what I'm trying to talk about. Took the mirror from the picture I posted in my first post, stretched it out a little, and put it on my truck to show yall about how it looked. Not exact mind yall, but more to give yall a better visual. Hope it helps yall help me!

Thats a nice looking truck. Sorry I can't help ya though. The only thing that comes to mind is the factory tow mirrors flipped up, but you said it wasn't them. I don't know.

Those are 3rd gen flip out mirrors. You could buy a set from a yard & swap the bases with yours to make them bolt up. A guy by the name of ForrestNearing had a set for sale that he converted to the 2nd gen bases, but they sold.
