CB Mount Ideas

I have a Cobra 29 that I plan on putting in my truck. Not sure exactly how I want to mount it. Any good suggestions or pics? Thanks

Al

This mounts under the center console.

I have a friend who owns a sheet metal shop bend a piece of aluminum and mount it under the center just like the pic except I only had one bend in it.
On a side note it was hard for me to here it so I bought a remote speaker for it.

Do a search on here, there's quite a few threads about it. A few of us, including myself, have it mounted up above. i riveted the mount between the reading lights. I used to have it behind the seat (std cab) I took out a storage hook and used that bolt. Just a couple ideas.

go to a marine store and look in their catalogs for the all in one style. it is all self contained in the mike. there is a small box that mounts under the dash. it also has good power for off shore use. all u have to mount is the mike bracket. it is less than 200. and i have been using one for about 4 years with no problem. u still can add a linear if u need more power.

On my '02, I fabbed a bracket for my scanner out of some thick metal straps and bolted it in using the 2 bolts that hold the front of the center seat in.

I have the exact same mounting setup as rob, custom bracket at the same location. Works great.
