Ideas for gauge mount

I'm getting ready to add some gauges to my truck. I really like the cubbyhole mount that geno's carries that fits in the cubbyhole just below the HVAC controls, but I have heated seats and electric 4wd. Is it possible to relocate the 4x4 **** and heated seat controls?

I don't like the pillar mount, and I don't want to just stick them on the dash. Any other ideas on a nice inconspicuous location?

How about the overhead pod? Anyone have some pics of this? I've seen them on here before.

I've thought about this but I wasn't sure how it would look. Would like to see some pics if anyone has them handy.

Personally I wouldn't want to look down at the cubbyhole to look at my gauges. I have had both the pillar and overhead pod I just put in this truck and don't like either. I found the pillar increased the blind spot and for me it was hard to focus in on the gauges and then back on the road.
The overhead I really dont like at all. I find it really hard to focus on the gauges and find the light over the rearview a distraction and I cant see out of the rearveiw mirror with the lights on at night.
My buddy has the dash pod and I found it was easy to focus on the gauges and keep 1/2 eye on the road at the same time but I think the cyclops looks fuggly sitting on the dash. I guess I will have to go with function over form on this one and order up a fuggly dash pod?

I love my dash pod. I almost don't even have to take my eyes off the road to see them. My pillar pod is not too bad. I had my old Edge in an overhead and hated it. Had to spend too much time looking up while driving.

I like my cubby hole mount. Out of the way so cops don't get excited about a "souped up diesel", but yet easy to glance down and read. It's not like you're looking long enough to read exact numbers, just the needle position tells you enough. You get used to knowing the status with just a glance.

I was thinking of ways to relocate the heated seat switches. They take up a lot of room for just 2 switches. And the 2 in the middle are just dummies. If I could relocate the switches, I could probably find a way to combine the cubby hole mount and the first 1/3 of the stock plate so I could have the 4x4 **** and 2 gauges......

I like my overhead and don't seem to have any issues with looking in mirrors even at night.

I like my console pod, although I did swap it with the AC Control module to make it easier to see. You can move the 4wd control, some have moved it to where the Cigarette lighter is pretty easily.

Steering column 2 gauge pod and SRT-10 A-Pillar for third. I like mine where there at.

I really like my overhead gauges. Just make sure that when mounted the gauges can be removed. I figured that out myself . About 2 years and no problems. I have a few other pictures, night and back seat view, on my gallery if you need other views. Good luck on your decision.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I am thinking I am going to either get the overhead or relocation the 4x4 and heated seat switches and do the cubbyhole. I will post my results!
